GSM and 4G Cellular Connection Alarm Systems
Explore Bosch alarm kits with cellular communication for supported alarm reporting and remote functions over a mobile network. Compare Solution 3000 and Solution 6000 packages, keypad choices and detector options.
4G Cellular Alarm Communication
Cellular alarm kits use a compatible communicator to send supported alarm information over a mobile network. This can provide a communication path independent of the property's broadband connection.
Updated Solution 3000 packages in this collection specify the B444-G 4G LTE communicator with B450-M interface. Solution 6000 packages use different communication hardware; check the exact module in each product listing.
“GSM” is retained as a collection term. Confirm the supplied hardware supports the current network and intended service before ordering.
Choose Your Bosch Alarm Kit
Compare Solution 3000 cellular kits and Solution 6000 cellular kits to suit your property and expansion requirements.
Solution 3000 options include Icon or Text keypads with standard PIR, Quad or pet-friendly TriTech detectors. Updated Icon kits use the IUI-SOL-ICON-2. Selected Solution 6000 packages include wireless detectors and remote controls.
Panel capacity, keypad features and wireless support vary by package. Check the individual product for exact inclusions.
SIM, Coverage and Service Requirements
Cellular communication requires suitable mobile coverage, a compatible activated service and correct programming. SIM provisioning and plan requirements depend on the communicator and service provider.
Confirm ongoing charges, supported networks, account setup and any monitoring requirements with your installer. Inserting a SIM alone does not guarantee alarm reporting or smartphone access.
For B444-G upgrades, compatible panel and B450-M firmware are required. Your installer should confirm current requirements and complete updates before commissioning.
Smartphone Notifications and Monitoring
Available functions depend on the panel, communicator, firmware, app and service arrangement. Supported systems may offer remote control and event notifications; do not assume every kit provides the same app, SMS or voice functions.
Professional back-to-base monitoring and emergency response are separate services. Confirm the reporting path and monitoring arrangement with your installer.
Broadband Outages and Backup Power
A correctly configured cellular path can continue reporting during a broadband outage, provided the alarm and communicator remain powered, mobile coverage is available and the service is active.
Continued operation during a mains outage depends on the condition and capacity of the alarm backup battery, system load and outage duration. A cellular communicator does not provide power by itself.
If you require both internet and cellular reporting, confirm that the selected hardware and configuration support the intended communication paths. Compare our IP home alarm systems.
Installation and Kit Contents
A suitably qualified security technician should install and program the kit, check signal strength, configure reporting and test communications.
Check each package for detector quantities, sirens, battery, plug pack, receiver, remotes, communicator and interface. Where offered, select standard or slimline external sirens and Top Hat or flush-mounted internal sirens.
Pet-friendly detector suitability depends on the exact model and correct installation. Standard PIR and Quad detectors in the listed Solution 3000 kits do not provide pet immunity.
For existing systems, browse cellular communicators and confirm compatibility before choosing an upgrade.
