Description

CAT6A is capable of supporting data transfer rates of up to 10Gbps at a maximum bandwidth of 500MHz.

Colour : White

CAT6A has additional and tighter twists, with additional insulation to reduce crosstalk. CAT6A is also backwards compatible with CAT6 and CAT5E, however, speeds are always limited and will perform to the lowest category cable or connector that is installed in the link

Made from 100% bare copper, this THIN CAT6A patch leads is a great option for high-density patching where every bit of space matters. 4Cabling CAT6A THIN S/FTP patch leads are designed to use for mission-critical data delivery where performance, reliability and maximum speed are paramount. The 30 AWG cable diameter is thin enough for the cable to reach an even tighter spot without compromising its maximum capability.

Features :

  • Support 10/100/1000BASE-T and 10GBASE-T.
  • Support PoE, PoE+ and PoE++ (IEEE 802.3af/at/bt).
  • Stability with Pure Bare Copper and 50μ'' Gold-plated Contacts.
  • 4 Twisted Pairs Reduce Crosstalk, Noise and Interference.
  • External Diameter: 3.8 mm
  • Cat6A is capable of supporting data transfer at a rate of 10 Gbps at a maximum bandwidth of 500MHz
  • Compatible with Cat5e & Cat 5, 250 MHz Bandwidth.
  • Available in various lengths
  • Warranty: 3 Year
  • Gigabit applications
  • We recommend using Cat6 cable for better video quality on IP systems.
  • Suitable for installation of IP cameras, IP intercom or 4 wire intercoms.

More Information

What is difference between CAT6 and CAT6A?

Cat6A cable is made and terminated to tighter tolerances than Cat6. This means the copper conductors are twisted tighter. This requires higher specification patch panels, wall jacks, and RJ45 connectors.

Is CAT6A better than CAT6?
Cat6A is fully compatible with Cat6, but it escalates performance in three key areas. First, Cat6A can operate at up to 500 MHz. The extra bandwidth doubles the effective distance at which the cable can maintain 10 Gbps — up to 100 meters. The second upgrade is in cable twists.

Ease of Installation
Cat6A cable installation is very different from Cat6 cable installation cost. When installing Cat6A cable to achieve 10 Gbp/s speed, the increase in costs is not only from the cabling. Extra costs are due to the need for higher performance switches and additional networking hardware. A single piece of network infrastructure, like cable, cannot be upgraded to Cat6A specification and give you faster speeds. That is until the entire network infrastructure is upgraded.

Cost of Installation
Cost of installation also increases with Cat6A cable from a labor standpoint. Cat6A cable is heavier than Cat6 and less flexible. It requires extra attention to detail to terminate properly. If there is no in-house expertise to properly install Cat6A cabling, then a network cabling contractor is recommended
