Compare Bosch wired and RADION wireless detectors for compatible alarm systems. Choose standard PIR, Quad, pet-friendly TriTech, professional, ceiling-mounted and specialist models to suit your installation.
Standard PIR, Quad and TriTech Detectors
- Standard PIR: A practical choice for indoor motion detection where pet immunity is not required.
- Quad PIR: Uses two individual sensors with separate signal processing. The Gen 2 Quad model does not provide pet immunity.
- TriTech: Selected models offer pet-friendly operation. Check the exact detector’s specification and installation requirements.
Choose the model to suit room layout, detection coverage and household activity rather than assuming every detector has the same features.
Pet-Friendly Detector Options
The Gen 2 ISC-BDL2-WP12G supports selectable pet immunity up to 45kg under specified installation conditions. Wireless options include the RFPR-12, rated up to 13kg, and RFDL-11 TriTech, rated up to 45kg, subject to correct installation.
Your installer should assess pet movement, mounting position and access to furniture, stairs and raised surfaces. Pet immunity is model-specific and does not guarantee every animal or movement pattern will be ignored.
Wired and RADION Wireless Compatibility
Wired detectors require suitable power, wiring and zone configuration. RADION wireless detectors require a compatible receiver and panel; confirm the exact detector, regional version and receiver compatibility before ordering.
Wireless detection does not itself add smartphone connectivity. App access requires compatible communication hardware and configuration.

Professional, Ceiling and Specialist Sensors
The range also includes professional detectors, selected anti-mask models, ceiling-mounted panoramic detectors, outdoor models and long-range options. Coverage, mounting height and environmental suitability vary by product.
Specialist products in this collection include smoke, shock, seismic and request-to-exit sensors. These serve different purposes and are not interchangeable with intrusion motion detectors.
Use a detector specifically rated for the intended environment; an indoor model should not be treated as an outdoor detector.
Installation and Detector Selection
A suitably qualified security technician should select and position detectors, check panel compatibility and power requirements, configure zones and complete a walk test.
Consider room dimensions, entrances, windows, heating and cooling sources, pets and potential obstructions. Wireless installations also require signal checks and suitable battery maintenance.
For replacements, confirm the existing wiring, mounting position and system programming rather than relying on the appearance of the old detector.
